FOLK OF THE FARAWAY TREE
A DINNER SERIES BY COBI MARSH

Hidden beyond the everyday, Folk of the Faraway Tree is a private dinner series created by Chef Cobi Marsh, owner-founder of Cobi’s and recipient of the Michelin Bib Gourmand 2023 & 2024.
Each gathering is an invitation into a secret world — a table set beneath soft lantern light, where flavors, memories, and stories intertwine. These evenings are fleeting, seldom-offered, and reserved for those who have discovered something rare: the magic of sharing a meal in a hidden place, among kindred folk.
The first gathering will be held on Friday, May 30th in Venice / Marina del Rey, where a progressive tasting journey will unfold — crafted through the lens of Cobi’s childhood and travels throughout Southeast Asia. A champagne welcome, seasonal dishes, and optional curated wine pairings will mark the beginning of this private series, limited to just 25 guests.
Folk of the Faraway Tree offers no fixed map and no promises of return; each dinner opens a new land, a new story. Those who find their way will receive the final location details 48 hours prior to the gathering.
If your path leads you here, we invite you to step quietly beneath the branches — where the Folk gather, and the ordinary world slips away.
